CPT Pam Gerdes

Pamella “Pam” Jo Gerdes, 66, a resident of La Marque, Texas passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008, at UTMB in Galveston, Texas. Pam was born October 19, 1941, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Martin and Mary Harrison. Pam graduated from La Marque High school in 1959 and attended and graduated from College of the Mainland. She was a Captain of Texas State Guard Medical Brigade and was employed as a Registered Nurse with UTMB in Psychiatry.

Pam is survived by her mother Mary Poole of La Marque, Texas; sons Mark Lloyd and wife Ann Marie of Lynchburg, Virginia, James “Bubba” Lloyd and wife Olga of Sante Fe, Texas; daughter-in-law Misty Gerdes of Sante Fe, Texas; sisters Bess Lester of Harper, Texas and Donna Schalk of Plano, Texas; grandchildren Joshua and Thomas Lloyd, Katherine de la Fuente, Daniel, Aaron, Ivan, and Vadim Lloyd, Amy Jo Lloyd, Payton Gerdes, and Pasley; Great-grandchildren Zachary and Isaac de la Fuente.

Visitation for family and friends was Thursday, August 7, 2008, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Graveside service was Friday, August 8, 2008, at 10 a.m., at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.
