It is now Time To Register for the free bioterrorism conference, “TALE OF OUR CITIES” on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the J.W. Marriott from 7:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. The Houston based conference includes speakers from around the world who have firsthand experience with Terrorist Use of Explosives.

The unique conference is brought to you at no charge by the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council (SETRAC), The City of Houston, Memorial Hermann Hospital, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, and Ben Taub General Hospital. The educational event is provided in select cities by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Past sites have included New York City, Boston, and Seattle.
Our Houston based conference will be the first in Texas.
The goal of the conference is to enhance our region’s overall resilience in the event of an urban terrorist bombing. Invited international experts from the UK, Israel, Pakistan, India, and Spain, as well as national and local experts will discuss the impact of terrorist events and describe lessons learned. The ultimate aim is to promote improved levels of awareness, planning and response on the part of emergency responders, hospitals, civic and business leaders, the media, and residents of our entire region.
