All who are planning to deploy for Operation Loan Star for the first week of August 2011
From : MAJ Dowling, Chief Medical Officer
We will have a medical screening at Co A. drill on July 26th at the La Marque Armory. If you plan to go you must go through this screening.
We will also have additional information for those deploying including a safety briefing.
Things you can do to help make this go smoothly:
- Complete the attached medical form and bring it with you.
- Have seen your doctor in the past year for a check up.
- Have a complete list with you of all medications, or bring all your medications with you.
- Know your immunization status, bring your record. (tetanus, Hep B etc)
If you do not have a doctor and do not have health insurance contact me directly as soon as possible so that we can make an appointment to meet.

Co. A Drill on Tuesday, July 26, in addition to medical screening for OLS, will also be certification for Vital Signs Screening.
Co. B held their Vital Signs drill on July 9 and 13 troops received their certification.
If you do not hold a current, valid license in the health care field, you will need to attend this drill to be able to participate in medical support.
If you have a license, we need you to staff a station and instruct the participants.
If you have a blood pressure cuff and/or a stethoscope, please bring it on that day.
Thank you for your continued service!
