New Website for Galveston Medical Response Group

We have a new look and feel to our unit website. It has a lot of new features with additional ones coming in the future. The new changes and updates are designed to maximize the unit site to its fullest potential.

Our goal is to make it a useful and an integral part of the units communication process by streamlining how information is delivered and made available to the public and our soldiers.

The following is a list of some of the features our website will begin to provide (not all features will be available immediately and some features may change):

• Domain Name Change – Changed www.GCMRG.us to www.GCMRG.us. GCMRG.us is still there it just forwards to the new web address. As we have grown, GCMRG.us is a more appropriate domain for our needs.
• Pages - Important information about the unit and TXSG. Usually does not change much.
• Posts – Important news and information about our unit, TXSG, and other events and organizations. Organized by Categories
• Event Registration – Signup online for drills, training, field exercises, deployments, and other events instead of sending out e-mails. Online payment options coming in the future.
• Website Search – As our website grows so will the amount of available information. The site search function will allow you to search all pages and posts using key words and individual names.
• Drill Attendance – Keep track of drill attendance. Includes drill times for individual training and events.
• New Website Login – If you forget your password the login page will automatically let you reset your password to access the website. Old password is invalid. Every person will have their own unique, private, and secure password. Not even the administrators of the website will know or can access your password information.
• News Feed – Receive one e-mail per day with all of the days notices with links to notices and attachments. No more e-mails with bulky attachments.
• Tech Support – Having problems with your TXSG e-mail account submit support request from one location. Requests can be tracked.
• Calendar – Calendar with events and drill dates.
• Assignment Lists – Lists of multiple assignments such as company, strike team, honor guard, phone tree, etc… Multiple lists managed from one location. Update one record and all lists and site information updated.
• Training Resource - Website will be used as both a training resource and training management tool.
• Document Management – Important documents made available from the website
• Personnel Management – Track personnel history, ICS courses, training, deployments, drills, etc…
• Applicant Access – New and potential applicants can be given basic access to website
• Recruitment Tool – Even though this website will be used for recruitment a seperate dedicated website will be used for recruitment. http://www.jointxsg.info. Coming Soon.

As we progress through the growth of our new website it will change and improve with time. With your support and feedback it will become a successful and integral part of the Gulf Coast Medical Response Group’s daily support and operations system.
