Galveston MRG Drills for June 2011

All HHC members… please note the email below from CPT Amin, CO Alpha Co, GCMRG… please plan to attend this drill, especially those that are in need of shelter management training and planning to attend AT. The training being offered at AT is NOT a replacement requirement but rather a expansion of the training program.

This would also be the time to bring your Go Bag for annual inspection to this drill so we can sign off on your bag readiness.

Alpha Company

Alpha Co members will drill on Tuesday, 14 JUNE 2011 at the Armory. All HHC members are urged to attend, particularly those on ORDERS to attend TXSG 2011 Annual Training Excises. Drill Schedule Training topics will include but not limited to:

  • A Show down Inspection of individual deployment bag (Go Bag)
  • Review and validate appraisal of AT Risk Assignment Worksheet
  • Convoy route appraisal and vehicle assignment
  • Including convoy safety tips
    • Review Deployment In processing Documentation
    • Validation of current license and certifications, including
  • A complete physical assessment form
    • Review military custom and courtesy (… saluting outdoors and barracks courtesy)

TXSG Annual Training is 16-19 June 2011 in Brownwood and will count as our 2nd drill of the month. There will be no regular Alpha Co Drill on 28 June 2011.

The next regularly scheduled Alpha Co drills will be 12 July and 26 July 2011.

Bravo Company

Bravo Co. will be using TXSG Annual Training as our June drill and will hold no other drills for the month. Recruiting will continue during the month as alternate drill.

Our next regularly scheduled Bravo Co drill will be the Vital Signs Certification drill on 09 July 2011 at the Angleton Danbury Medical Center, 0800-1200.

All Alpha Co and HHC soldiers, and applicants that do not currently have a medical certification should attend this drill. All soldiers will need some type of medical certification to be deployable and this will meet some of the requirements.
