For alternate drill and recruiting out in the community where you will be traveling and wearing your uniform, you will need to notify your Company XO to get written orders. If the alternate drill involves online training, please notify your XO about one week before the end of the month that you have attended/completed alternate training and email your certificate or any other proof you may have. Alternate drill is reported to Austin HQ at the end of each month and we need to keep track of this each month. If you had written orders, you will still need to email any certificate you may have been provided for your personnel records, if any, but your XO will already know you have attended an alternate drill.Almost all of this training can be completed by applicants and apply to their METL once they are sworn in.
Applicants can not have written orders to attend and are not counted in the alternate drill records.
